ContactsLaw is a:
-
CRM
system (customer relationship management)
-

-
Document management system
-
Billing system
-
General and trust accounting package
-
Multi-user collaborative task management system
Using
ContactsLaw you can painlessly comply with the
recent and important new laws relating to lawyers’
trust accounts, costs disclosure and cost estimates
under the
Legal Profession Act 2008, and associated
Regulations
and Rules.
ContactsLaw aims to
exceed
the expectations of large law firms but
is equally
suited to smaller practices, barristers’ chambers
and in serviced office environments.
As a
Microsoft Certified Partner
Overtech has had (and continues to have
access to) professional support for this project
from Microsoft Corporation’s experts around the
world.
Overtech can also offer its customers
exclusive business development loans from Microsoft
Finance. These unsecured “low doc” loans are
well-priced and repayable early without penalty. They can be used to buy
software and related intangibles (eg training and support) as well as hardware

Brief
overview
Here are some of the reasons why we think
you’ll like ContactsLaw:
-
No timesheets!
Whether you’re making a phone call, appearing in court, conferring
with a colleague or simply requesting a trust cheque,
ContactsLaw ubiquitously (and in many cases automatically) journals
your activity and records the cost on the appropriate file. You can
review and edit your journals whenever you please.
-
To make a file related
telephone call, click on a contact’s telephone number or right-click
on the name. ContactsLaw
will dial the number, create a journal with the name and number of
the person you are calling, and the relevant file. You make notes of
your conversation. When you are done,
ContactsLaw calculates
the value of your time and charges it to the relevant file.
-
Outgoing and incoming
emails are all automatically timed (journalled), catalogued, saved
to the appropriate file, timed and costed. All you have to do is
type, dictate or read them.
-
Using ContactsLaw’s
customised templates you will easily generate cost agreements that
comply with the new rules relating to disclosure
and cost estimates.
Painlessly customise these templates to
suit the areas relevant to your legal practice.
-
Trust accounting – achieve full compliance with the new 2009
regime.
-
Billing is
a breeze with ContactsLaw.
At the click of a mouse everyone on your team (we call them Members)
can review files, generate draft or final bills instantly, and
adjust them effortlessly. Authorised members can bill files at any
time.
-
Imagine creating a letter simply clicking on the
name of the person to whom you wish to write.
ContactsLaw automatically builds your letter including the name
address, salutation and heading and if you so decide, the content as
well.
-
ContactsLaw
comes ready-loaded with details of government departments and local
lawyers. Its state of the art search features – linked directly to
the Australian Business Registry - are simple, sophisticated,
accurate and – above all – fast.
